Tino, same boat for me mate. Been on 3 rides in 18months. Bloody joke and one of those rides was rubbish as it was with people who thought going from pub to pub was a ride and GOD were they slow!.

Thought I'd pop back in and check up on the new year happenings - this was the latest post on the board - October 2011!  I see a few names I recognise pop up on FarceBook from time to time - has that taken over from this?
Things have happened, sold the Deauville as I just wasn't using it, (only a couple of hundred miles in the last year), so I am now bike-less for the first time since... well, since I was 16!
Trouble is, I think I just got bored. It is so much easier to climb into a box at stupid o'clock and crawl into work with a heater and radio at an audible level, even taking into account those occasions I have to scrape ice of the windscreen first.
Work takes up 12 hours of my day, which means I spend more time there than I do at home.

Life kinda got in the way I guess, plus facebook took over.  I've stopped riding its been a while for me to, but the bike is still in the garage with a new rear tyre, new battery on the shelf and new chain & sprockets fitted.  Maybe I'll take her out for a spin this year?

Well I got put off the new site as my font turned a nasty green and I didn't know how to change it, and never got round to asking mods to change it for me. Also everyone else seemed to stop posting on this site so I got more active on the other London biking forum, and go on occasional rideouts with them.

It's good to hear from you all on here though.

Tanya - what made you stop riding, and did your Dad take his full bike test in the end? He was about to do the CBT I think last time I heard, but that was a while ago.

Really must do more biking this year.  Need to get some weight off so I get into my trews though!

its quite sad that the site has gone so quiet. i still pop in from time to time but as you all know, when i moved back up north i set up teesside bikers.. i kinda spend most of my time on there.
No doubt i will be back down to london this summer for an evening at the ace and a perhaps a weekends riding.

Dad rode for the duration of his CBT then gave up due to ill health.  He loved his little bike tho,  In fact I am just about to sell the rest of his kit on Ebay... minus his Sidi's as I needed a new pair :-)
