Weather looking reasonable:
Sunday      Scattered Showers  High: 11°    Low: 4°     Have sent you all PM's with the route. If you have not received it or haven't let me know you plan to join us, please let me know 8)

T'was good to meet old friends again - and some new ones. :)  I'd not been to Goodwood before - it'll make an excellent excuse of a destination for future rides. ;)

Thanks Christine!

Thanks for the Ride Christine, and thanks for excellent company.

Jetstream, yes thanks, headed off down the B2070 which some of us remember was the A3 once, was tempted by the A286 detour through Haselmere but instead joined the modern A3 at Liphook as I didn't want to be too late.  A quick filter through the congestion in the roadworks in Hindhead and off the A3 at Tolworth then through Kingston. Arrived at my niece's in Ham at exactly the same second as my parents arrived.

The cake was a fetching affair, decorated with a garden pond and three frogs!

[NB - not sure what has happened with the pictures, is there a way of resizing them using tags? They looked fine when in preview but live the pictures are cut in half.]

A few pictures from Goodwood. I think the Russians were spying on us -

Fantastic rideout, Grandma, as always. Great to see you again and see old friends and meet new ones. Many thanks for organising it, and to all USRs for doing such an excellent job as corner-markers, and to the Tailgunner for doing a great job.

That video I promised to send you a link to is here.

Eezyrida, why do I have two missed calls from you at 12.42.55 and 12.43.40? Where you missing me already? ;D

Haha, Ann and I were following a couple of USRs on foot from where we parked the bikes, and ended up walking all the way back to the tunnel. All five of us therefore got lost trying to find the cafe so I rang you in the hope you could direct us to it, there was no reply so one of the USRs managed to get through to Christine, and all was well  :)

"Haha, Ann and I were following a couple of USRs on foot from where we parked the bikes, and ended up walking all the way back to the tunnel. All five of us therefore got lost"

Sounds about par for the course, never follow a USR riders directions.

We, on the other hand parked near a sign saying "Cafe Open" with an arrow. Much against our intuition, we followed said arrow and to our surprise, found a cafe serving food and drink.
We sat at an empty table and rocked up at the empty counter to order our food.
Not beyond the ken of most Olympic organisers.

Our reference for Giuliano:- Julian was able to find the cafe and order his own food with minimal assistance. He digitised the old folks table and homed in with alacrity. His knowledge of YaK 52s, his talk of his fathers birthday and his old fashioned politeness made Rosso feel at home.

We can recommend this man for a post supervising the old peoples toilet at the Olympic bowling event without reservation or hesitation, he is a gem.

Do the budget ones only have the twin blade propeller? Maybe the triple blade is an option, like having the full colour paint job?

Lovely to see so many of you and as usual Grandma had booked the sunshine.  I was rather envious as you all rode off but had a lovely catch up with PP and Westie.  Happy days!
