Bella Italia - The Hornet (GT200) goes to Italy and back
« on: 16, July, 2010, 08:54:13 PM »
There being no 'Ride Reports' section, I guess this belongs here...

Having ridden 1688 miles to Scotland and back on the GP800, I have one night at home before I set off for Italy - on a Vespa, what else! :)

Bella Italia - The Hornet (GT200) goes to Italy and back, with pictures:

17 days, 10 full days on the rally, exactly 5,000km door-to-door.  Proving that size isn't everything, and that distance should be no obstacle.  I hope you enjoy. :)

A taster:

Jim, what a great trip you had, are you thinking of publishing it in hardback. It certainly beats any trip that i have been on.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading that, Jim, what a great trip, and thanks for writing it up and with such great photos as well. Makes me want to jump on the bike and ride around Europe! I love the bit where you meet the "mad, totally mad, lovely bubbly batty woman".

I hope you enjoy your US trip. Will that be on a Harley or another scooter?

Heh, the bubbly Collette was a pure tonic after a long, long day. :)

I hope you enjoy your US trip. Will that be on a Harley or another scooter?

I'm being loaned an MP3 500 (just like my 3-wheeler Fuoco, they call them different names over there) by a friend for the duration.  I expect to put about 1,500 miles on it over 3 weeks - at least!

I'll consider doing a similar write-up for this (eek! - 4 days to go!) trip.

Nice one Jim!
