http://www.cissburyleathers.co.uk/

Got myself a pair of RST leather trousers from them in mid April, all paid up front online etc.

A few days later nothing came, so I emailed them.

A few more days went by, still nothing came, so I emailed again, saying I just want my money back if the're out of stock etc.

A whole month goes by, I rang, but only to find that there was no one to answer the call and I could not leave any messages.

Now the case is in the hands of my credit card issuer, Bank of America.

And incidentally, Bank of America have also turned out to be clowns as I had sent them the relevant paperwork in mid May, and they have just written to chase me for them. Well duh!

Needless to say I am sending the card issuer the paperwork again, but have moved everything back over to Barclaycard and will avoid these cheap cards from now on.

What a way to start the season....  :-[

Bank of America suck goat balls...they are 2nd only to Wells Fargo in the "why the f**k would anyone bank with these assholes" stakes....

Hope you get both issues sorted.

Okay... Their sales chap who was helpful (!) could not find out why there was such a delay. Told me that RST may have been out of stock and hence the delay.

I offered that IF they could substitute those that I bought with this year's model, I would be happy to negotiate. The chap whom I spoke to agreed and said he was sure he could get his manager to agree to sell me this year's model at last year's price... wait for it.... after talking to RST, and if they have it in stock, I should have had them LAST WEEK!!! LOL.

Lucky for me my Amazon Bank Of America had actually got their act together and managed a charge back against the shop, so I have my money back. What a kafuffle.

Why are the simple things sometimes difficult?  Well done.
People will forget what you have said and they will forget what you have done--but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

Thanks BB - but I spoke too soon. The day after I posted the last message, the trousers came. Exactly THREE MONTHS AFTER I had ordered them. And Cissbury got their money back, again.

Ugh. Never gain. Anything like this from now on I am doing it the old fashoned way by hitting the shops.

I did the old fashioned thing this week. I went to Biker's Paradise (no, not heaven full of Harleys) [mm, actually that's a bit of a nightmare] in Coventry. I know it's a long way to go, but I turned up, chose some leather jeans, had them cut to length (I am quite a short person), turned up, included in the price, and armour fitted.

I did have to wander around the shop in my pants, but you can't have everything.

Service was superb.

If you are into a particular race rep style they might struggle, but for good general stuff, they are great. The leather bras and short shorts were a bit distracting, but I resisted the urge to try them on. I probably shouldn't have told you that.
I might be slow, but I'm behind you!
