Saw you there on Sunday also Trisckie, rattlin for the air ambulance!
We it was wet, rainy, cold and only 6 bikes in the bike park, but the car park was heaving. Looks like the show had a good foot fall despite the rail network and the roads grinding to a halt. 7 Rail lines down this weekend and events at Twickenhm and Wembly... yuck.
For me it was nice just to be able to wander around and see what was happening without half my brain being on the stand or greeting people at the door (same AG stamps as last year). The custom area seemed to have bloomed, a few more specilist bike builders showing off their wares and they looked good. Some real interesting ideas, shame that I forgot my camera, but I loved the bike with the handle bars sticking out of the frame sides, very mad max.
The Honda Fury looked interesting although the wheels looked a bit plastic, but a nice chopper type style. The new VFR was also nice but rather big and angular. A fair few of the same sports customs that many of us have seen before, only Triumph and Ducati dealers present. I did spend some time at the Truiumph stand trying out what my next bike will be and getting insulted buy the sales man. Why do they always assume that the female will go on the back and they we cannot ride?
Came back with a job lot of Muc Off and a few ideas..... all in all £15 well spent
