I don't know why we bother, biking is getting to be as expensive as driving a car.

In america we are paying $2.97 for a gallon of petrol

1 gallon =4.546 Litres = $0.65 per litre

at todays exchange rate = 42p per litre

A US gallon is nearer 3.78 litres so it is nearly 50p a litre not 42p - but point taken.
