End of Summer Ride 18th October 11am Boxhill
« on: 15, October, 2009, 03:26:47 PM »
Well, it seems it is the Anniversary of the End of Summer Ride, so off we go to Ogri's (sorry we're not allowed to call it that any more Wesson's at Horam in Sussex.)
What do you say, Horam in Sussex, where Burgar nearly caught pneumonia! Yeti nearly ate the Megaburger to qualify for a free one?
So, those of you who are up for it, add your names, usual format, marker system, ride at your own pace, nice easy route using the A272 where possible (East this time)
Praying for decent weather, can't afford to lose any of The London Bikers starting from Boxhill at 11am.
Can't afford any more off's, had enough this year to last me a lifetime :(
Comn Stem, christen that lovely new red Yamaha, how about the rest of you?

:wav: Weather ordered, ride approximately 55 miles, we may have 125cc with us, but copies of route will be handed out, so everyone can ride at their own pace and enjoy themselves. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Thanks for the fabulous company, it was such a lovely sunny day, but a bit chilly by the time we were ready to go home.
Huge thanks to Bob for tail ending and Delboy was a star riding all that way on L plates. In true TLB chaos, managed to lose Crashy on the way down, apparently pulled in for fuel and we didn't see him again, was it something I said? lol Hope you are O.K as we couldn't raise you on the phone, you missed some great food, if not very healthy!

Got to the cafe eventually about 2, but no TLB bikes out side. The road sign reading at speed wasn't going well, got to know the surrounding area quite well though, managed to go through Uckfield twice and nearly to Eastbourne, should have read the destructions on the map first. Still some good roads round that way, had a blast.

Oh what a shame, we were there, parked up the side, rather than down the bottom. Nobody was brave enough to try the Big Momma, was great to see you, glad you are well 8)

1. Not to fall off mi bike  :icon_blackeye:
2. Them big white lines on a bend, mean stay on you own side  :BangHead:
3. Try to find 1st gear (1 down when the neutral light is on, c/o Mr Rizla) from a standing start  :headbang:

Guys, I'm sad I missed it.  It sounds like you all had a great time, and I reckon I could eat that burger.  I once ate "The Big Irish", 1lb of meat in a bun, with salad, chips and more salad.  Bring it!
