Well, Box Hill was a touch damp, but four of us made it.

Really glad i didnt come out to play last night as i have been sat on the bike TWICE today waiting for the RAC, luckily it was rather sunny sat opposite Westminster Abbey for 3 hours, anyway I got a free battery from the RAC and then he followed me home in case it died again..... order for new regulator/rectifier has been placed with Mr Silvers  ;)

Why 3hr wait, that's shocking for a lady to wait, thought it was a max 1hr wait? But glad you got home ok

Well it was 55 minutes from logging the call til a patrol phoned me to say that he was arranging for me to be recovered by SOS Recovery, it was then a further 50 minutes before an RAC patrol turned up, with me wondering what had happened to SOS (which he knew nothing about), it was then about an hour while he twiddled and tweaked the bike and fitted a new battery, and then rather than tow me back as the bike was running ok at this point (though he wasnt happy with the battery reading) I rode it back, and he follewed in case it died on me again.

Luckily the cops left me alone and the Murphy lads let me use the portaloo so i sat on my bike eating grapes in the sun..... could have been worse  :D

Last time I needed them was on the West Country run on the Notrun. Broken down at the MacDonalds Dorchester, I stayed back after everybody else left and had a FIVE hours wait and, after several phone calls, I was told the call had been signed off. Another hour later the guy turned up. Needless to say, I did not re-join them.
