Custom Earplugs are the most effective way to counteract the effects of the 'silent killer'...wind noise.

At 35mph wind noise in a motorcycle helmet is between 78 and 90dB, 8 hours of this will cause permanent damage.
At 120mph wind noise climbs to 120dB, 15 minutes of this will cause permanent damage.

I use Lucy Dell for my plugs. The green maxlites or for smaller ears the yellow/pink laserlites are the best plugs you can get IMO.
