Sammy Millers Bikers Day
« on: 24, May, 2009, 09:15:36 AM »
On Sunday 14th June there is a Bikers Day at the Sammy Millers Museum in New Milton, Hampshire.

This is a great opportunity to see some of the bikes from the museum in use and meet the great man himself. He might even bring a friend or two along like Phil Read and Giacomo Agonstini.

More details to follow.

We also have a USR training run to Sammy Miller on the same day, so perhaps, depending on numbers we could combine, as we will also be meeting at the Box at 10am for a 10.30 sharp exit to make the most of the day. 8) as it was such a brilliant ride last year, hoping we can enjoy the same weather!

There are some luverly alpacas in the adjoining field who kept me company while I waited last year. There are some birds and I'm sure there were rabbits too. No meerkats though.

No fee for the Bikers Day event. In fact it was sold to us as an opportunity to promote the club.

The USRs are Unity Support Riders who are training for marshaling the Unity Ride and other events they get invited to support. They will be leaving Box Hill at 10:30 prompt, led out by Grandma on her rebuilt R1.
The others are ordinary (I use that term loosely) members of TLB and friends whom I'm sure would be welcome to tag along. Sheep for the shepards.

Not sure if it will be ready in time, I am struggling with an MT-03 which tries to kill me in the middle of an overtake as the limiter cuts in at 7,000 revs, yes 7,000!, it has spongy brakes and a feeble horn, but fairly comfy , worst of all it is red, I don't do red :(
