Well the bus lane report is out. Can't link to it on my work PC but you should find ti and the press notice on the TFL website.

A new trial will start mid July as there was an increase in motorcycle accidents involving vehicles turning across bus lanes and not looking out for bikes; don't know how long that will be.

There will be increased publicity to get car drivers to take more care when crossing bus lanes, and increased enforcement of the speed limit on bus lanes to try get get bikers to slow down.

Both measures seem very sensible to me.

A new trial! Great! Making decisions is expensive work! I certainly notice cars pulling left not looking for me in the bus lanes. If they can't see a bus, they don't look for anything else. It is up to us to slow down when we approach junctions.  Meanwhile Boris is getting uppity!
