Wel guys,

when I wake up in the morning, its voting day for the new President....Its a historical day, 1st time an African American has run, he is also the youngest presidential candidate ever.

I cannot vote as I am not a citizen, but the outcome will effect all of us.

McCain is an asshole, Obama reminds me of Tony Blair...very popular, but ready to screw ya over.

Well...watch this space....

Thanks Darkmonster, I care. very interesting to read the perspective from over there. I otherwise only have our press to go by and i'm not sure how accurate their reporting is. If they are to be believed then it seems Obama is a dead cert but I don't want to get my hopes up like last time when I was so sure Bush was out.

If Obama does win then let the party begin, my major concern then would be that he and his family would be in massive danger of assassination by the very large number of racist rednecks over there who have the motivation and capability of carrying out such an act. I so hope his security measures are up to the job.

I try not to listen to much of it really even though I have the right to vote by proxy from over here but havent done so because as I dont live there anymore I dont feel it is my right to interfere so to speak. Im more interested in whats gonna happen next! Its a real cliffhanger!!

Both candidates raised quite a lot more funding than they spent, and Obama raised, and spent, about double what McCain did, according to this website. Not sure how reliable those figures are though.

Stayed up till 2am till I was certain Obama was getting a decent lead. It truly is the dawn of a new era

You need to look up both McCain & Obama's speeches on Youtube....McCain was gracious in defeat, and they are already calling Obama the next JFK for his leadership qualities...It was a moving few hours.
