and I agree with Wildcat...  it is now getting to the stages that we are beaten and need to conform, thats why I rarely go out on the road now

I've bought a bloody moped, things have got that bad.

I fell off it the other day, at 2mph, right outside my house, in front of teenage boys and everything. I did feel a twat. Character building - that's what it is.

Dodge, luv it, you can actually say what you want and and I don't find it offensive. The hat ain't plastic though and I don't do neighbourhood stuff either, I'm on response so often get to RTCs before the traffic bods.
I was born a copper and so my opinions are deep felt but all I do is try to keep people out of trouble.

As for the lines issue, if you can't see it you never will.

you have just painted a rather weird picture in my head of a very shocked looking midwife....

OK on the lines I stand to be corrected... I justwatched the video again.. the first time I was just laughing at Mikey lol

and in my road riding days I knew every bump on that road...

so..... swings out around a car on a blind left and forces the car to swerve into towards verge... completely ignores the double whites.. overtakes going through junctions, tries to overtake an overtaking car crossing the white verge line on the far side..

I was lost cos I was looking for mistakes??

But the police bike really did give the impression it was stopping for no one...  and did not like that car taking its time lol... thats what the flasher thingy is for is it lol

Maybe it is just our reaction to another nail in the coffin dealt out by the nanny state ...

in the mid 80's the Inverclyde traffic used to pull us over and tell us to feck off up the back roads and kill ourselves...

in the 90's speed gun operators on a bridge over the M25 openly admitted during TV filming that they dont even bother reporting / recorded anyone that aint well over 90 MPH..

Days have changed and a mate working for serious crime was done for 31mph in a 30 in an essex no tolerance area...?

so yes... the law is the law and there seems a big move to change the mentality of my ( 40s) and the younger generations to speeding just like they had to do to the generation previous to me re drinking and driving / riding.. which I would reckon we all think is a big no no...

Unfortunately one thing that winds people up... ok me is the fact that as soon as some one farts someone posts up what does the police think....??   It's a fuggin bike site not a legal advice service...
Tall guy is baited, lobs his neibourhood watch plastic copper hat on and does a google search and spouts giz loads of legal bollox..  debate ensues... and we all curse each other ..
unfortunately the law dont bend..  but who gives a fuck cos most of us rides bikes cos we want to escape the hum drum big brother bollox... wants to hide in a helmet with a tinted visor, live out our WSB pretentions bollox and destroy our hearing with the loudest possible can, fire past cars as close as possible scaring the fucking shit out of them and in the world of The school of rock ( how sad is that ) stick a middle finger  up at the man...  and shout in that closed environment helmet....   "fuck you I feel alive...  I have fear, excitement and adrenalin coursing through my alcohol and I wanna live before I turn into a sad old twat... even if I am allready in my 70's..."  the biker code..

unfortunately on the road these things are drawing to  close...

Rather than the village Bobby popping into Joey Dunlops pub and saying.... Joeys going well he must have passed me on that bike he is building at 170MPH...  nowadays it would be a full scale military operation to take out the terrorist threat..lol

and I agree with Wildcat...  it is now getting to the stages that we are beaten and need to conform, thats why I rarely go out on the road now and stick to tracks for any speed fixes, be it short circuits or MX tracks.... and even sadder Tallguy is right with the law stuff... and even more sadder  if that is possible there are sad gits out there with chips on there shoulders throwing there weight around... maybe it is time to go and live in somewhere like Poland lol

Well put mate, great read and bang on.

Just watched the vid for the second time. The police riding is equally dangerous to the guy he is following.

Also the part where the police rider is sitting up the Vectras back side about 2ft from its bumper at excessive speed. What would have happened had the bloke in the vectra braked?

The police rider would have been seriously injured.

Pot calling the kettle black.

that is the all point.
they're using our tax money to buy very expensive bikes + camera equipment to ride dangerously to pursue some blokes ''allegedly'' riding dangerously!

to protect and serve?
i dont think so. '<img'>
