having just had a trip down to cornwall and back in the last week i can say m3 then the 303 then the a30 is a lot better than M4 M5 and the stretch from exeter to cornwall has only two speed cams and its all dual carrigeway and nice and twisty but still fast withenough service stations to refuel witch i seemed to do a lot of
'> but on a r1 and a large rucksack i was glad to have a stretch and the roads in cornwall are brill nice and twisty and no road humps and suprisingly not much traffic well worth a trip down

We're off to Cornwall for a long weekend in June, been a couple of times with this lot, agree, brilliant roads, motorways to be avoided, BTW mines a Strongbow for later please

The 303's a great road but beware of the caravan convoys each Bank Holiday weekend

Not sure if any places left, PM Tim to check if anyone has dropped out.
Usually a fabulous time, though the weather started off a bit wet last year, it just got better & better

Dawset, Zumerzet Carnwall (regional pronunciation) have some luverly roads and the A39 Atlantic Highway can be fun as those that followed my very sedate ride last year will vouch.
Beware of A303 mobile cameras and unmarked cars. There will be a loads of them on the A303 this weekend as it is Thruxton BSB.

Take the Minehead round which takes you straight along the coast (the A39) as i discovered after Matt ZX-9's recommendation, it is rather twisty
I also though the sheep were a joke

Just to add to this, if you take the A3227 from Tiverton up to Watchet and then take the A39 Estwards towards Glastonbury you will grin from ear to ear.
Totally awesome.
600 miles covered last weekend

Unless you just follow along, bring a tent and there you go. Or is there this 'trespassing law' they have in England?
