Essential rubber
« on: 23, July, 2008, 02:27:50 PM »
After a chat with Colin down at Essential Rubber (on 21/7/08 with my bikes mileage at 31,341), I opted for the Michelin Pilot Road 2 tyres which are classed as "sports touring" tyres.  I did not want tyres that would take a long time to get up to their operating temperature or lose that after anything less than consistant hard riding.  He said the the Diablo Corsa 3's were more track biased and would turn in a lot faster.

Retail when I phoned in about these a few days earlier was £230 for the pair fully fitted and balanced.  When I went in there, I asked if they still give discounts to TLBers, and the lady said "Have you got a London accent?", my reply was "I'm from E' m' 'un, innit", which satisfied her.  End result £202.51", a noticeable saving of £27.49.

Thank you Essential Rubber - Martin
