Ever wondered what they mean
Have a butchers here
You can also see what other mischief you can get up to and how many points you can get.
Get enough points, you get a bus pass!

Hmm... Doesn't mention 'driving through a puddle and splashing a council workman' - like that driver got done for the other day.
The case cost the taxpayer (us) several thousand pounds.

Was just looking at my licence the other day to see how much longer I have my points for (1 year & 7 days left), if you get nicked it's worth remembering that the points get backdated to start from the day of the offence, so it's worth dragging out the legalities for as long as possible, as that reduces the time theyre actually on your licence

I think they actually stay on for 5 years, but they don't count for totting up after 3. I may be wrong here, my most recent ones are 2 years old next Wednesday, and I believe that they'll not count towards a ban after another year. I have some older ones too 1994 and 2001

Points are valid for 3 years from the date of offence, not the date of endorsement if later. They remain on the licence for 4 years and can only be used as an indication of character (propensity to commit offences of a similar nature) during the fourth year.
Am sending my licence off to get it 'washed' as it got a bit grubby a few years ago. Hope they don't delete my class A entitlement like they have for a few others.

Well, my Dec'01 one no longer counts, and I could get it removed after xmas, but I may as well wait until the June'03 can go with it. Or I may just wait until the July'04 expires as well.
Oh - to #### with it, I'll just wait until the photo ID needs replacing.

What? You can't get them removed until after 4 years? Bugger. Mine are coming off November and december this year and as I am moving house, thought that it would be a great time to get my licence cleaned too! Bugger....
