Just thought I'd let you all know about the great insurance deal I scored with Ramasis Insurance 08704 190430.

I've got two bikes, one modified and need two named riders on each bike. I'm a self-employed journalist so that's a big loading straight away. Mitchells quoted me £245 for one bike and £375 for the other making a total of £620 for TPFT. Not too bad I thought. ''

Ramasis came up with two policies, Fully Comp, protected NCB and just £175 excess on each for a combined premium total of £535! I nearly fell off my chair! '<img'>

I am now a very happily, fully comprehensively insured bike rider.   '<img'>  '<img'>  '<img'>

Cheers,

Rog

(through Mitchell)

Glad my occupation is safer (from a road sense, anyway)

My quote for just one bike did go up to £1850,  ':down'  but that was just after my ban ended,  '<img'>  which was some years ago now.  '<img'>  (can't remember the excess on that, or even the current one. ':p' )

Just been quoted £774 by H and R rung yamaha back and they could do it for £730. Then said very nicely and cheekily could we make that £700 they are ringing me back. I did ask why didnt they give me that quote to start off with. I then received more info than my brain could handle.!!!!

Just renewed for another year.
It WOULD have been £143 for both, fully comp. but that speeding offence in June upped it by £50.
Still with Equity Red Star, through Mitchell.

Still, £213 ain't bad.

£147.20 for 2 bikes, TPFT, not terrible, I've obviously joined the ranks of the old- age discount. According to my paperwork I have 9 yrs no claims, but as far as I can remember I haven't had a claim since 1988 when I smacked up the back of an Audi on Tower Bridge (the Audi needed a tow-truck, I only had to readjust my mirrors before continuing)

Just out of curiosity. How did you manage that, sounds like he pulled out and clipped your mirror, you got really mad got of your bike and smashed his car to bits with a baseball bat.
do elaborate.

I was looking the other way admiring a boat, and ran straight up the back of the car which stopped suddenly. I did a big stoppie, went over the bars (dislodging the wingmirrors on the bike) and head-butted the boot of the car, then I bounced straight back down into the saddle. It pushed the bodywork of the car into the rear wheels, so it couldn't move. Not a scratch on the bike as I only hit with the tyre, the forks were fine and everything. '<img'>
