What a good day out we had yesterday. Much better than the bike show earlier in the year. Good planning to have most of the smaller stalls under cover due to the rain in the afternoon. Due to the rain we didn't try any bikes out but spent 5 hours there and were kept amused all the time. One of the guys who was part of the Met anti vehicle theft units was really interesting to talk too especially after finding out that the fazer 600 is the 9th most nicked bike in the met area. Good also to see an impressive Unity Ride stand.
Only regret -well seeing the sun out today maybe going today would have been better

Am exhausted... great fun... good to see everyone... I can't believe that I didn't get to meet you BikerBeth. An excellent turn out of TLB'ers.
Special gold stars to BMBOB, Tall Guy and Anne...... talked to the masses and totally ran the Unity Stand.
Thanks to everyone in the stand break down crew.... it all came down a lot quicker than it went up..... mind you Stem and I did spend an awful lot of time trying to make the gazebo look like a gazebo rather than an exhibit out of the Natural History Museum Dinosaur section.

Nice day out, nice weather, great company, lovely way to spend a Sunday. Ride back on the North Circ was horrible though, almost decided to have a run to Boxhill!!!

I'd agree with that!
It's offical, my current bike does not like London. The atmosphere down here in Dawset is so my more relaxed it might explain why my front tyre only read 3psi and the flat battery was probably due to me leaving the video unit running all Saturday. Boy were there some attractive women in uniform
Had lots of fun and it's great to get up and catch up with folks. Many thanks to all especially SteM, Pat and Tanya. Oh and I guess PFM deserves a mention - would like to see him explain away that big hole in the playing field.

We were there to primarily promote Unity, so it wouldnt have been fare to tout TLB as well. We did point out to those that were interested who we were tho

I spoke to Paul Mostyn on the way out and he ask me to pass on his thanks to all of those that attended the National Bikesafe event and that they really appreciate our support.
The chances are that this will now be held annually at Hendon and we will be first in the list to sign up, yet again.
Well done London Bikesafe.

I suggested that a 9 hole pitch and putt golf course might be a financial proposition.

It did amuse me that there would be a giant 'C' from the marquee and then the 'O' form the off road track..... maybe next year they will aim for COP

I guess the stand being next to the Girls2bikes stand was a total coincidence too
had a really good day as I had not ridden a bike for ages due to loose metal right hip, and I was only able to ride my 1982 CB125T, which was chained with Beth's Fazer. walking back to the bikes I spot 2 non traffic police giving it the once over, so I gestured to them that it was my bike and was there a problem. then got into a funny conversation with them as they did not think a bike that old or small needed to be chained up as "who would want to nick it ?" I then showed hiim the ignition lock that had been attcked when some chavs tried to nick it about 4 years ago. I then went into my story about overtaking a police land rover at 80 mph on the A1 in 1983 on it before realising who i was talking to. he then corrected me that it was 70 i had overtaken at
