Shit news '<img'> Hope that it's a quick visit to the hospital and that you can be home for a cuppa quick smart. Also good luck in getting bike sorted.
Hope you are making jokes and have a smile on your face my Danish diplomatic friend. Long may your memory live!

Well nothing broken luckily enough except my will to live.
I cant believe whats happened.
I pulled out of my drive, got to the junction 30 yards away,
pulled out to turn right and the bike lost all traction on the front wheel.
Tank slapping me until I couldnt hold it anymore.
I ended up with the bike on top of my right hand and what looks like a puncture wound through my winter gloves where the front brake lever landed on it.
I thought it was broken for sure.
Bike has been inspected and damage is as follows.
Top nose cone scuffed (right)
Lower middle panel scratched beyond repair and snapped at crank cover.
Lower belly pan panel (right) scratched badly.
Clutch cover holed.
Brake pedal snapped.
Right mirror scuffed.
Crank protector cover snapped.

Grand total £550+VAT
Excess on policy £450 voluntary £250 compulsary.
Not worth phoning them buggers then.

Mind you my thumb does look a bit sexy with a bit of weight on it.  ':crazy'

Thanks to all who stopped, helped and wheeled my bike back around the corner.
Thanks for all the thoughts.

Oh and being a consciencious biker... I phoned the Police who notified the council who may bill me for the spill kit to remove the oil from the road who havent yet turned up and have left the hazard for other motorcyclists to come a cropper on.

Dont you just love the irony.

It may have been diesel I spilled on myself.

So a couple of days off now feeling shit.

Aargh so sorry to hear this, Alex, but at least you're not badly injured. Was it a case of slippery new tyres?

I've fallen victim to that myself - bike lost traction at rear wheel whilst accelerating and turning left and fell over, then did 180 degree slide on its side on top of my leg!  ':crazy'

One dislocated knee and damaged pride, as this happened in front of about 20 people waiting at a bus stop opposite (outside Hamiltons at Streatham Common, in case anyone here remembers that bike shop, sadly closed now)

Was it a case of slippery new tyres?

Nah mate the tyres were well scrubbed.
Happened so quick I still cant believe thats happened.
Ive taken that junction millions of times.
Utterly confusing.
The blokes that picked the bike up and wheeled it around the
corner to my house said the front wheel lost it.
I just remember thinking oh no I aint pulling this one back.....then ouch!
Pics later.
Thanks for the thoughts people though I do wonder if the fun
factor actually does compensate for the thumb fractures sometimes.
I spent 4 months recovering last year and swore that if I had another
accident that would be it for me.
Now its happened Im seriously considering packing it in.
I had the diesel incident on the way to work the other week too.
All these little things are my warnings I feel.
I dont want to become a bunch of flowers at the side of the road.
Anyways Ill post some fotos of the damage and let you see what
15mph can do.
Take it easy for goodness sakes let me be the last please.
