Those are very nasty injuries, especially the knee, it sounds like a very long and painful time before OUR KEN is back on what is left of his bike.
Hope when he comes out of theatre and is feeling a bit better we can visit him in droves, I am sure we can think of a few ideas to take his mind off the pain! '<img'>

get well soon Mr Rizla. hopefully you are in a good hospital, if you are at all concerned about the care when you are discharged, get referred to the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital in Stanmore. As Michael Caine would say not a lot of people know that you are entitled to an NHS 2nd opinion but hopefully all will heal properly.

if you want any advice about getting compensation, feel free to ask. I went through the whole process

Hey Ken, you're not allowed to crash. You dont do that. Now stop it. Dont do it again.

Now get yourself all patched up.  And get well soon.
Chin up.

HI guys, Linda again, latest update: Ken had surgery today and all went well, he may have to have more surgery in a couple of days so looks set to be in for about a week if not more! He is seeing the consultant tomorrow so will know more then, but at the moment looks set to have to have plastic surgery. He said to say thanks to you all for your txt messages and a special thank you to Weaver and Redone for the ballon. He has his mobile with him and can accept calls so you can contact him that way. Also he has moved beds, still in Ward 1, 1A, but best ask if you happen to go and see him as they keep moving him around!

Thanks for the update Linda.  Glad things went well.    Let's hope he doesn't have to have too many more ops - needing plastic surgery does not sound nice at all. Our thoughts are with him and from me a little prayer too for a quick recovery.

As some of you may know our Ken works for the government. What he hasn’t told you, and I shouldn’t really be doing so either is that he is a manufactured special agent whose real name is Agent X. Having a name like that was a bit obvious so they called him called Ken instead. The fact that his secret agent wife, who tragically deflated during a pub dart competition, was called Barbie had nothing to do with it.

So Ken was sent out in the big wide world and told to merge in to society. They gave him a Scottish background as it seemed to work for Sean Connery. After a while trying to fit into the mainstream, our Ken decided that he needed to break into a elite sector of society who appeared to be having a lot more fun than anyone else, and so Ken the biker was born.

After years working in a remote Scottish outpost on the edge of Glasgow, Ken was recalled to London to help with special projects in the technical research department. It was here that Ken’s technical experienced flourished and he began inventing all sorts of special gadgets. Due to cutbacks in funding however the field proving of these gadgets was left to Ken’s initiative and hence his motorcycle became the test bed for all the toys that had been produced. However problems emerged and a lot of the gadgets interfered with each other and kept killing batteries. One of the most effective gadgets produced however was the SatNav jammer which was intended to make it difficult for terrorists to find their target and just drive around in circles until they were captured.

The latest gadget to come out of the workshops was a blue laser weapon and our Ken managed to fashion this into a package which looked a bit like a crash bung, but a crash bung with a punch and able to obliterate any vehicle moments before impact. However like all big projects Ken had a team of engineers one of which was in charge of the triggering device. This unfortunate soul wasn’t a biker and so didn’t understand what t-bone meant and as the true use of this weapon wasn’t known to him he mistakenly assumed that it was to be a humane way of killing cattle during another foot and mouth outbreak.

So there we have it our poor Ken lying in hospital, (even secret agents need the NHS now that all military hospitals have been closed), because his t-bone preventing blue laser crash bungs didn’t work.

Linda (miss moneypenny) I’m sure will look after our Ken till he back in one piece and making more gadgets for us bikers.

Agent ‘X’ bought some tyres from George Whites just before his off. Called them from his hospital bed but they refused to give him a refund as this was a special order.

If agent ‘X’ is your reading this, after lengthy negotiations with George Whites, and a little nipple twisting, they have now agreed to refund you the full purchase price. Now that’s something to look forward to once you’re off your hospital bed. '<img'>

My fee I hear you ask? Well as it happens, I am after a unscratched Rizla single seat cover… '<img'>  '<img'>

You can't keep a good man down - here's Agent X in all his bedside glory!!!

He was in good spirits and talking about what bike to have next!!!  '<img'>   Printed off these posts and gave them to him for a bit of bedtime reading!  Gutted at having to miss the Unity ride but said we would take lots of pics and maybe will head to the hospital after the ride to show him.  Think someone should do a banner with "Get Well Soon, Mr Rizla" on it to go in one of the cars??

Heard about this as my colleague is the Officer dealing with it.

I'm glad it's getting positive in the injury stakes and rest assured this will be investigated thoroughly and without any stone unturned.

I'm being updated regularly as it progresses but as you can understand i am legally bound in the information i have to keep it confidential.

I will probably pop into WPH to see Ken tomorrow, any messages please PM me.

Linda again, i gave Ken his Unity ride t-shirt today so he can support you guys from his hospital bed!! The consultant came today and they now think that his right ankle is tendon damage rather than a fracture which is great news! Possibly having plastic surgery on Monday to his left ankle, either way he is in theatre that day even is its only to suture his other knee.
He is off the morphine for now, but can imagine him being back on it by Monday. Have also made a special request for nicotine patches to stop him killing somone (namley me!'<img'>
