ok weve done germany france and spain, how about a trip to Italy next SUMMER?
sales pitch time....
sexy women, sexy accents
sexy blokes, sexy accents,
wine, shiny ducatis, fancy sports cars, perfume and clothes shops, outside bars....
mama's spaghetti at Alba's house...
I would like to go to rome and see all the sights
Who wants to go?
(Alba has no choice, if this comes off she IS going for obvious reasons)

forget about August, 40 degrees in the shadow even me cant stand that!
best months usually are may, june and september, for prices as well.
i would suggest 10 days if you wanna see as far as Rome, there soooo many places to go!
and WE WILL get in our swimwear this time!

The only thing that needs organising is ferry tickets, breakdown cover and insurance. Remember everyone panicing in spain about accomodation?
All those pokey arsed villages a couple of miles apart with little hotels that were all empty.
Booking B+B's/hotels etc sounds like the proffessional approach but in reality, you really can just rock up and demand a room (then barter over the price)
Also its cool when you dont really know where you are gonna stay until you find it..then take it over

I'm up for this. I've never been to Italy, and would prefer to do so first with a bunch of mates - a bit daunting on one's own even when as knarled as I am! So count me in.
Ferries/Shuttle best booked in early January, when they're all offering GBP10 crossings.

I was in Rome, being dragged around some fountains, stone carved statues and half knocked down buildings when I was little
and I hated every minute of it. But I guess now the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum would be a whole new experience. Venice is north of Italy, so I'd suggest stopping there on the way too.

Good good, Looks like another varied group. Spain worked well for riding last year, Many people wanted to ride at diff paces so no one was left riding alone.
I imagine like with all our trips the fast boys will be fast and plodders will pull up 5 mins later after we have ordered the beers.
I suggest getting a first thing start on the train/ferry onto the A26 toll road (30EU ) all the way down to Chamount then head east to Basil N49 (awesome twisty, CHampaiogne road ) then up to Zurich.
Pick up route 3 Chur and head to St Moritz, Down through switzerland, and down to Through the border into Burgamo. WE is den in italy in it!
