Hi all,
just thought I'd drop a quick note in here to introduce myself.
I'm thinking about doing my CBT and possibly the full test this summer, so thought I'd join to get lots of good advice

Welcome to the family, Galaxy!
You'll get lots of good advice on here but its rather a sad day today as we just found out that we have lost one of our own!

Thanks people.
I did read about your loss Princess and I am really sorry to hear about it; particularly as I read about this happening to somebody else in May when I first looked at the site.
Was a bit worried about the safety factor to be honest, plus I'm only just getting to grips with a bicycle - late learner.
I am working up to booking.

Hi Galaxy. Get the CBT out of the way and your half way there! Don’t even think about it, just go out and book it.
Once you get your freedom on the bike on a hot sunny day, you won’t look back believe me. Good luck and hope to see you out and about soon.
PS: I’ll have a pint please since you’ve got a tab at the bar.

Hi all,
Buying drinks is it eh. I guess I can oblige
'>
Minnie I will be moving to S. Norwood area soon.
Capt Moto, no idea about what bike to get. When I say I'm a wannabe I mean a complete novice - no idea about bikes whatsover. I'm doing research and so far know it will have to be a 125 and a diddy one at that.

Do you have any questions? I find that it's far easier to answer questions than to give a load of advice. There are a few on here who have only recently passed their tests, they can give you up to date info on that. when I passed they had only just brought in the written test, and you only had to get a few right, they raised the pass mark soon after!

Hey, welcome.
I did my CBT and bought a Suzuki Vanvan to potter around on to get my confidence, it was fantastic. Bounced quite well too!

Bang on with the Vanvan (this is what BB will say
'> ). Anyway, if you want to learn a way to places like Box Hill, the Ace, etc without using large main roads then just post it up. When you know the way somewhere its never that far

'> Go girl!! Yes I went all misty eyed when you mentioned it at the weekend...... Loved pootling on that baby
Riding became a whole new challenge of getting around an not going on a Motorway by accident. I'd have another Van Van if they did em in slightly bigger engines, its quite a heavy bike for the CC.... or was that just the weight of the rubber in the rear tyre
I remember feeling slightly embarrassed the first time I rocked up to the bridge on ma orange Van Van... all those sports bikes around, I wanted to run and hide, everyone looking me getting all flustered. Then Flying Scot walked over to her, looked her up and down..... he told me she was a real beaut.
Post a pic in the gallery when you get a chance
Enjoy ya 2 wheels of freedom.... I did.... and well done!
