Well i did remove it myself as a matter of course but he didnt offer to show me any video evidence just the PILOT fixed point speed detector thing.
Mind you thats not to say that there isnt any video evidence he might just be playing his cards close to his chest.
Either way Im pretty much fugged.

Sorry I don't know about the PILOT system I'm not in the Road Policing Unit (RPU) From what Ifizzy described to me it's similar to VASCAR.

Basically mate its 2 stop watches.
Cop spots you he/she starts the first stop watch when you are passing a fixed structure (bridge, lamp post etc)
The cop then starts his stop watch when he/she reaches that fixed structure.
The cop then stops the vehicle he/she is tailing when they pass another fixed structure.
And does the same when he/she passes that fixed structure.
The PILOT system then determines how far the cop car has travelled and what his/her speed was between these two points.
It simultaniously calculates what the average speed was on the first stop watch being the vehicle he/she was tailing and distance.
There is a margin of error and providing that the officer actually stops and starts the stop watches at the same fixed structure I would have thought the margin of error would be quite small less than the margin of error inherent in a conventional speedometer.

Interesting reading, so basicaly u were followed by a cop car for a distance, then he got u when stationary. From what i have read, had he not stopped u and didnt have ur reg u may have got out of it.
But ur a grown up and would never endanger the public in an atempt to get away from the law, so use that in ur favour

FOLLOW CHECKS.
This type of check is carried out when the police vehicle is following the target vehicle.
As the target vehicle passes the first reference point, the time switch is turned on.
As the police vehicle passes the same reference point, the distance switch is turned on.
As the target vehicle passes the second reference point, the time switch is turned off. The device now knows the time the target vehicle took to travel between the two reference points.
As the police vehicle passes the second reference point, the distance switch is turned off. The device now knows the distance between the two reference points that the target vehicle has travelled.

I was unaware he was following me he must have been at least a half a mile behind me.
It is a fair cop at the end of the day my only down side is I stopped at the lights at the top of the offramp.
This ultimately allowed him the time to make up his mind to tug me.
If lights were green there would have been no opportunity for him to see where I went.

If you buy this book
http://www.uk-driving-secrets.com/?afl=32128
through that link, then I'd be happy to refund the commission I earn on your purchase of it, if you lend it to me for a week. More beneficial though, it may get you off the hook.

That book's rubbish - its all stuff that most bikers will know anyway. It really doesnt have any magic get-off clauses.
As for the PILOT/VASCAR system, it used to be fairly easy to make the case that the police officer has made a mistake bla bla bla, but since then the burden of proof has been brought down far enough that it really only takes the copper to say 'Yer'onour, he was goin' some" and thats about it, you've gained some points.

how fast?
Best thing to do is to stand in court with a nice suit on, a shave and a nice hair cut. State that you knew you were breaking the law and you are here to face the consequences. Tell them you have recived additional trainging and at the time you had assesed the stuation and thought that you were not putting your self or any other road user in immidiate danger. You were riding within your limits and taking the road/traffic and weather conditions in to consideration when making your assesment. Show the judge you are not a crazy nutter hell bent on speed but you are an advanced rider with years of experince making an educated decision. Admit you were breaking the law and explain you need your licence to go about your every day life.
The best you will get is a sh** loada points but keep your licence. At the end of the day you break the law, you get caught you face the music BUT YOU CAN DICTATE how loud the music is with a little inginuaty.

Coppers statement: 113.1 mph average though at some points it was 130mph (which was accurate).
The facts:
The motorway is 4 lanes wide uphill the road was dry sun was out traffic was light the m/way is well known to me etc and he was not in a pursuit he was following with no lights or sirens etc and only made himself visible when i was stationary at the lights at the top of the m/way off ramp.

Dont try and justify it.
Have you got legal cover? The best way to go to court is with a barrister - you get to say 'It was a moment of madness, Im normally very sensible, Im really sorry for doing and not just for getting caught....' etc etc, and then THEY say "it was dry, safe' bla bla.
That way, it gives yer'onour the facts without you having to basically admit that you habitually speed.
That kinda speed, if you play the contrite upstanding pillar of the community role (wear a suit!! ), I'd expect a lot of points and a short (one month?) ban.
Grin and bear it. Go to the pub. Get drunk. You cant drive home anyway

When your in court you can plead exceptional hardship if you lose your licence, you will be given a change to explain to the bench how your life would be worse off should they decide to ban you, ie lose your job etc.

Get a suit, sign up for an advanced training course and do a Bikesafe day straight away.
We can draft you a letter of support stating that you are an essential member of the Unity Ride charity organisation and how remorseful and embarassed you have been since this incident.

surly if they was tailing you at 130 then why didnt they try to stop you then. sounds like they wasnt sure or was hoping you would go faster stand up in court and say you been fitted up cos they didnt like the look of ya i mean they waited till you was off the motorway if you was braking the speed limit by that much why didnt they flash you or put the blues on looks like they wanted to nick you as an afterthought might just get you off it if you can make them look undecided in court
i got off once because i said they didnt read me my rights the copper just said ya nicked ya nicked ya nicked like a little school kid the magistrate thought that was highly amusing and i got off

if they was so sure you was speeding why didnt they stop you then reason cos they are guessing
i would argue that you was speeding but you never went over 100mph and they cant judge your speed cos for them to keep behind you at a certain distance ie if you was doing 70mph and accelorated to 90 because of the accelaration of a bike against a car they would have to go alot faster to make that gap up therefore they would show a faster speed than you
by the way can anyone tell me how they can prove this whitout a radar reading or a video if they cant its your word against theirs and you should argue the fact say they took a dislike to you and was discriminating against horrible bikers
