Heard there have been a couple of bike jackings over the last few weeks.
One south of the river near Grove Park and another near Blackwall (Watch ya self Wildcat) mob of about 6-10 yoofs and heavy violent with it.
Keep em peeled and don't be an effin hero.

I’m always observant & cautious when stopped at lights. Best to keep the bike in gear, and your eyes peeled.
This is getting more common, and as stem says, they are getting more ruthless. It’s a jungle out there.

Back on topic. Stem is bang on here with the "don't be en effin hero". A knife in the side and knock on problems for years to come is not worth it.

Surely youre not saying that unemployed people vote for tony blair...............theyre much too busy to go voting.

Problem is that all the old tory supporters are voting labour and all the old labour supporters are down the high street buying burberry, sitting on benches smoking weed, or hanging around school fences handing big macs through to their children because they cant eat fresh cooked jamie oliver recipes or complaining about the immigrants nicking all the council houses etc etc etc

Somebody tried to hijack my CBR a few years back chasing me with a RS Cosworth. First I knew was when they ramed me from behind trying to get me to stop and get off the bike. I had to ride like a complete nutter to get away as they chased me at 100+ in some 40 limits. Though I'd thrown them at one point when I managed to hide in front of a lorry and they shot past then did a u-turn cos they had stopped in front of me. At that point I saw the two in the back with baseball bats an balaclavas I did a burnout u-turn hoping that somebody would phone the police coz of this nutter biker
likely the hijackers didn't know where I was heading as I headed for the nearest police station.

Nope it was in Hatfield Herts. If I'd done that in Dorset I'd have had backup as I know where all the police monitored cameras are.

eye that a bit off the edge of my patch and nearly in zummerzet and the luverly rough town of Yeovil. I think CCTV is planned for that area but currently it is only really Bridport and Dorchester which have proper systems installed in West Dorset.

In December last, I ran a lesson in my martial art school on self defence but instead of our TaeKwonDo uniforms, we wore our normal work / casual clothes. In my case, I chose to wear my full bike leathers, boots, armoured gloves, and crash hemlmet too. It was a real challenge to do the TKD kicks. Actually, it was quite difficult to do most things as the armoured leathers were very restrictive.
However, after reading this topic, if I thought that anyone was approaching me with bad intentions when stationary, I don't care, I'd just jump the lights and speed off. This now mean that I'll need to be more vigilant now of where I stop - I'll always be looking for an escape route. But if I was jammed in, I'd try and turn the bike off and either throw the key away or snap it off in the ignition in an attempt to stop an gang riding it off.
