Try as I might, I cannot find anybody who knows how the budget will affect me, a non-drinking, non-smoking, biker!
I only want to know:
What has happened to road tax for bikes?
When do the changes (if any) apply?
When does the petrol price increase happen?
As an aside, what changes apply to the Amby (1985 3 litre V6 Transit)?

Don't think bike tax has changed and petrol duty increase delayed for six months I gather.
Other than that i refuse to comment given that i will be so much worse off under it!

Beer price increase does! Thats from sunday, I think.
Bike tax didnt change - meaning some cars are now cheaper than bikes
'>
And the changes to the car tax are for newer vehicle that fall into the different bands for carbon emissions - so your van (and mine) wont be affected.
And as the Metro said this morning 'Gord giveth, and Gord taketh away'. Political trickery at its finest.

IMO, waste of time the whole lot of it. When you think about it he spent 48min talking a load of @#@# and then sat down with a smile.
The big part for most of us is the petrol and car tax

f*king w*nker gov they always hit the bloke on the street and easy targets road users to pay for all the money they waste
now they seem to have a new excuse global warming and green issues what a crock of sh*t
its just a scam to justify them hitting us with more stealth taxes
how do they know it aint just the nature changing by itself like all these things scientist's have come up with eggs are bad for you then there good ect
the ozone is depleting and we will lose it then its repairing itself they know as much as we do lol
a ship bringing volvos over here from sweden emits more polution into the air than the cars will in there lifetime if they was to do 200,000 mls each
its the save the whale burn ya bra brigade gone mad
and gov cashing in on it as a good excuse to justify us paying more
they want us to stop using cars and they put the train and bus prices up
i think we must be the laughing stock of europe

i dont think the cut on income tax is a waste of time - or the increasing threshold for maximum tax bracket - a lot of the mid earners will be better off!

Trouble is if you are on a very low income you lose money!!
'>
And Scorps yes I agree with you about the ship - should force everyone to buy British that would help!
'>
Like saying 4 x 4 cars cause more emissions - only if they do the mileage - if you only do a couple of thousand miles a year in it, you can't possible cause more emissions than someone driving a KA for 50,000 miles a year. So stealth tax rather than green tax I think.
How the heck the government gan justify some cars having lower road duty than bikes is beyond me too. Must be trying to catch those "gas guzzling" bikes in the net!

Looks like I'll be £5.77 better off each month
'> But looking at the council tax and petrol for a start I can't see that £5.77 covering the increases there.
Fruit, just to note that when fuel costs or small companies costs go up so does everything moved by fuel or run by small companies
'> Labour are very smart and so have pushed money towards their core voters. Not saying the other people would not do the same but as can tell I'm married, working, travel, so all costs in my life went up yesterday.
In short if they wanted to make the country green then FFS why not start by putting a 30% tax on all foods which have traveled more than 100 miles from the shoreline? Yes I am from New Zealand but think it is bloody silly that I see NZ lamb for cheaper than British lamb. IMO, this is because the government is not thinking green like the earth, more like green like money
