I just wanted to say how proud I am of being a Biker. Not once yesterday did I feel that I  wasn't in safe hands. I'll  heal in a few weeks but finding out who your mates are will last forever!

Could someone post this on LB site for me.

glad your home safe mate, was a scarey moment for all of us who were there, shows how well we all work together when no one had to say a word, everyone saw a job that needed to be dona and just did it,
seeing how we all worked makes me feel even safer when riding with everyone

you know what, i read all this and it has brought a slight tear to my eye (i know, im a big girl, lol), ill admit, some of it is because it brings back some bad memories for me or a similar incident, and ill be honest, if it wasnt for people like burger and claire (who was riding with us), i would prob be 6 feet under now, and for the quick thinking from them and our other friends i will never forget that day and what they did for me.
but mainly because as much as i saw everyone pull together, im seeing everyone put there support in here, i know anyone on here would go abouve and beyond if Stem needed it, and would do the same for anyone else who was in the same situation,
when chatting to a friend a moment ago they asked me why was i was feeling the way i did, and i could only come up with one answer, and it was a simple one, it is simply that because when something like this happens, you realise that you may not know the rider next to you that well, you may not know where they were born, how old they are, or even where they live, but in some ways when riding with friends from here they feel like an extra family i have picked up somehow,
when i first joined i though this was a cool bunch of people i could join in with and have fun with, but over the time i have been a member i know i will be a TLB'r for life, nothing will ever change that, if i move away, or simply have to stop riding (god forbid), i will allways be here and will allways see everyone from here as an extended family,
so with this i wish Stem the quickest recovery possable, and just hope that anyone who reads this has either already noticed the comunity spirit within this forum, or soon does, because i promise you, you will never meet a bunch of people who will make you feel as welcome and as proud as i feel now

That is thankfully true of bikers everywhere.  That Harley rider who wouldn't nod?  He'll still stop sharpish if you're down and do *something* to help.  Probably a brain-surgeon though, so no help with the knee-cap... :P

I've heard a few tales (thankfully very few) this year where the first person to stop at a 'biker down' in London has been another PTW.  Each one I've heard of has resulted in a life saved, even if only blocking oncoming traffic from making a Frisbie of bike and rider.
