What do you do?
« on: 07, February, 2007, 08:29:51 AM »
One thing I learned from Ally Pally was that together, TLB make things happen.

I saw people doing what they do best and also finding that they had hidden talents…. For instance Trouty makes a mean cup of tea and dances when no ones looking '<img'>

With our next big event on the horizon and a summer that is getting filled up with exciting stuff for us all to do……

I was just wondering –

What you do for a living?

Do you have any hidden talents?
People will forget what you have said and they will forget what you have done--but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

What you do for a living?
I work in the flavour industry and create flavours and seasonings for food.  I do sales, development and research into new flavour trends, then present them to food manufacturers.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I am good at taking notes and organizing a plan from them.  Am also pretty good at cooking and creative stuff

You do have hidden talents Matt....

Your approachable, there were a couple of times at Ally Pally when people asked you what was going on rather than the others that were close by.

You are passionate about stuff and that really comes across when you speak on certain subjects.

You’re good at weighing up an argument and then deciding what you think, you articulate your thoughts very well.

You make Callum laugh with such ease.
People will forget what you have said and they will forget what you have done--but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

Trouty - this forum is thanks to you, a cosy, friendly, cheeful area to hang out in.

You're a bit like a football manager and give TLB members the freedom to make this place ours.  You allow people to make suggestions, take over organising things like Ally Pally so that we get the best for TLB

What do you do for a living?

Well, up until about 2 months ago I was a senior wedding coordinator for an Italian specialist travel company, which I loved, even reassuring the brides-to-be or 'Bridezillas' as I prefered to call them that it was all going to be lovely and to stop stalking me. Until my company was taken over by big fat poxy Thomson so now I am back in the boring, a chicken could do it with their eyes closed reservation department. Which I hate, imagine the scene, now in chav accent - ' I wanna go ta Costa Del Sol, for 2 weeks an I 'ave 7 kids an only wanna pay 50 quid !' How fulfilling hey !? , hence the reason I am currently looking for another job. Any suggestions are more than welcome as I have no idea what to get into next.

Hidden Talents ?

I can whine, moan, throw tantrums, strops, whinge etc etc for England ! I don't think they're hidden actually !

Wow, I did go off a bit there didn't I ?? Sorry !  ':blush':

Job?

I'm a merchandiser....or space planner as it is sometimes known....

I design the layouts of products on shelves in line with the company strategy to make you spend more than you intended.

Have done it for supermarkets and pharmacies so far. Don't think I'll be doing it forever.

Hidden talents?

I play drums but that isn't hidden I don't think. Most of my neighbours know it.
Make STRONG tea for those who like it.
I am very good at carrying shopping bags that are not mine.

I’m a Credit Manager for a large well know computer company.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Apart from becoming the sites resident ‘Farther Crashmas’ I have lots of hidden talents. I’m a DJ, and played Ice Hockey for my country. I’m also very cunning, and have a way of getting what I want. I can also write a mean complaint letter too!
