'> One of our members who for security reason I wont name has had to fly off to Canada to attend a family funeral. Sirella and I are house sitting and cat sitting (albeit the cats wriggle a lot if you sit on them) while they are away.
So far I have been lucky no presents left for me to clear up, either dissected, collected or excreted. But today will only be day three of cat watch.
If she logs on, and I am sure she will, I am pleased to report that M, S and B are all in rude health but missing you both.

Day Four of Cat Watch, well we got stuck in traffic at A1 / M25 interchange and I got a just telling off for filtering at speed through unfeasably small gaps and for ignoring red traffic lights.
One large dose of groveling and two chocolate covered doughnuts later and all was forgiven. Up shot journey which can take as little as 25 minutes took nearly two hours (including stop at services).
Cats were all lazing around when we got there, so I cleaned away thier food, began quest for any little presents, live or otherwise that may have been about, cleaned thier bowls, fresh food down and...
Thats right the little darlings* weren't hungry! And proceeded to ignore us for evening. That was until bed time when they were o so interested in coming in (not likely) to sleep in same bed as sirella and I.
The cats are fine, but clearly still blanking me, Sirella however is definitely the favourite of the tom in the House (are they toms after they have had the snip?).
And then today Joy of Joys the journey anto clock on the 25 to come to work was made so much fun by the myopic car drivers using the force to see where they are going rather than thier windscreen wipers.

Hey am so glad you are obviously enjoying the cat sitting - must remember that for the next time we go away!
'>
You bothered about your journey? Hmmm well here they are definitely having problems - this morning it is currently -12C with wind chill taking it down to -21C!!!!!
'> Thankfully I have a TLB hoodie to keep me warm - see gallery for evidence - meanwhile here is one of RO yesterday :
Thank you so much for cat sitting (though RO reckons you haven't dared actually SIT on them!
'> ) We owe you big time - you are a couple of total stars! Funeral went about as well as these things do - but at least we got here in time thanks to you!

That is just sooo typical of the little darlings!
You rush about, worrying that you've had to leave them a little longer, then when you make it in, no appreciation, just cold stares and cat evils!
Nice one for looking after them, that bit of the M25 can be a nightmare eh!
Best wishes and safe journey to Pen and Steve

Cat watch update!
Pleased to report still no little presents living or excreted being left for us.
Was gonna post that we have had to finish all the beer, wine and spirits in the house for fear of it going off, but its all safe, for now!
Mallory seems to be in fins spirits and is allways the first to eat when fresh food is put down Seki and Biscuits are fighting most of the time, was gonna get a water gun on em at one point but they seem to hold thier own and the worst that could be said of them is that they are causing more hoovering to be done (PS where is the hoover and the tea towels).
Jo and i have been trying to find your stash fo take away food leaflets so we can cook for ourselves. But no luck so I have inflicted my cooking on her.
So now on to the important stuff you are in a place with plenty of snow have you snowballed steve or built a snow man yet.
No plans to sell cats on ebay, only because they wont lie still long enough to get the bubble wrap round them. Buts if my hand dont warm up from riding in rain I may use them as gloves.
Biscuit is proving to be a good hot water bottle for Jo right up to the point where he starts padding into her neck.
Looking forward to saturday and your return they are all missing you you both.

Err why you want tea towels - there is a dishwasher?
'> But if you need them look in the big dining room cupboard the one next to the kitchen - in the wicker baskets (top two). Hoover in cupboard at end of upstairs hallway but unless it bothers you that much RO can do it when we get back!
Forgot to warn you about the neck padding at night - sorry Jo!!!
'>
Snow is melting a bit now as it is around freezing now and the sun has been out but yes RO managed to snowball me before it all went!
Any TLB ladies want me to bring them home a mountie?
'>
I recommend Toronto for low prices on things - at the rate RO is going we will have to buy another case to get stuff home - not the firsttime we have done that either!!!!!

Err why you want tea towels
if you look around the back end of the cats i believe that weaver has fitted them both with special "tea towel holders" as formerly seen in 1970's kitchens, once you have sorted out where the tea towels are you know where to stuff them

All, The cats have gone ferile and have learnt all by then selves how to swig beer straight from the bottle and Biscuit has been seen with some rather dubious looking female cats. Poor pen, I have corrupted her children or maybe it was Jo !
Mallory has been a real sweetie and has come back to the house with a carcass of what looks like half a wolf! Clearly she could see we were wasting away from the lack of take away food.
To answer the question re tea towels there were some crystal glasses left out (and Pens large wine glass, you all know the one, the one thats takes 75 cl of wine and wont fit in the dishwasher) and we wanted to clean them but if you leave em on drainer they dull.
We need the hoover to remove all evidence of the wild parties the cats have made us have round your house and to clear up the fluff from their usual barnies.
The wind here was really terrible yesterday and given the fallen trees and debris on the roads we wimped out and drove yesterday, consequently for us both to get to work today we had to leave at a really god awful early hour and nearly trod on a mallory shaped furry rug at top of stairs.
Any way I am off to the pet shop for a huge thing of cat nip to chill the cats out fro your return

I think I'll give the chocolate star fish tea towel holder a miss, the sods would run of with em and I d never get the glasses dry.

Note to self:
When leaving Jan & Doh on cat duty again, remember to state how much food they are supposed to have each meal - that way we won't come home to rather rotound pussies!!!
'>
'>
Seriously though - what a fantastic couple of friends we have to do this for us and at such short notice too. Thank you two sooooo much! We met them on a bike forum of course!
