Long weekend in the west county
« on: 10, January, 2007, 05:42:43 PM »
We are staying in Tintagel Cornwall then venturing out for two days on some fairly long rides (200 miles) to the coast. Porlock Hill is a usual feature on the ride ':p'

Dates now fixed as riding down on Friday 15th, exploring on 16/17 and then riding back on Monday 18th.

Last years trip details can be found here - West Country 2006 and was attended by myself, Grandma and Yeti.

Latest Update 09/06/07 11:45

B&B No1. - Bosayne Guest House

Rm1   Double   [Weaver & RO] - Deposit received
Rm3    Double   [Minnie & Sidewinder]- Deposit received
Rm4   Twin   [IanXV1600 & JimC] - Deposit received
Rm5   Single   [Yeti] - Deposit received
Rm6   Single   [TallGuy] - Deposit received
Rm8   Double & Twin   [Grandma & Tanya] - Deposit received
Rm9   Single   [AndyCBR] - Deposit received
Rm10   Double & Single   [Westie & PP] - Deposit received

Note Rm2 & 7 don’t exist so we have the whole guest house at a discounted rate of £24pppn.

B&B No2. - Pendrin Guest House

Rm2   Double   [Karen & Terry] - Booking Confirmed
Rm5   Double   [Pooky & Theo] - Booking Confirmed

Rates are £25 - £ 28pppn depending on if room is ensuite. If we can occupy enough rooms then this may get reduced.

The Bosayne and Pendrin are litteraly neighbours, I couldn't get any closer.

Each night we will be dining and drinking at The Cornishman which is only a very short walk into the village and provides a good selection of meals and ale. Please advise if there are any dietary requirements that I need to pass on.

Note the owners of the Bosayne and Pendrin have visibility of this topic so they can see how we a progressing with filling up their establishments.  '<img'>

It's also RO's birthday a couple weeks later - so please do not change date to early July 'cos we is going to BGP for his birthday!

Looking forward to this already - think must get new bike by then though! '<img'>

OK dates are now fixed.
Have looks at various places to stay, but keep being drawn back to the Bosayne at Tintagel. It's got enough rooms, price is good and the pub around the corner does good food. Only downside is the gravel car park but that is just a small point.

If anyone has some particular points in Devon/Cornwal that they want to visit then I can build these into the Saturday or Sunday rides. Usual plan is to do a southern route and a northern route. On the Saturday morning we check the weather and pick the one with the best outlook.

Loud cans save lives.

OK tell me how a boy can grow two jacket sizes in 7 weeks??  or did Moss bros fuck up the measuring???? and its the day before the wedding..

Organizing a wedding and a funeral at the same time was never in the fucking plan.

Am waiting to hear from Burger, re sleeping arrangments. Though I don't think I'll get four lads in one twin and double room. They may be friendly but not that friendly.  ''

Karen & Terry are still pencilled in just can't say which room yet.

Well just tell em to get that friendly!  '<img'>  '<img'>   Alternatively I'll bring a sleepie bag for one to crash on the floor?  Or is there another place nearby we can book extra rooms?

Quite a few B+B's between this one and the Pub, so if we fill this one up we'll still all be able to stagger back together '<img'>
