now thats an interesting idea! the ifs and buts come from the need of waiting till the end of the month to sort out a few important issues, but i'll give it a serious thinking.

What is going on then? The times that we are riding down are 05:48 morning of 28Mar and return at on 4Apr.
are these the official dates then?
in fact lets re-word this.
someone please pm me the dates and times of ferries etc and details of who i have to pay for my accomodation in spain.
I'll share with anyone as long as they are not soap dodgers.
bit of a stickler for hygiene and tidiness me.... leave dirty clobber all over the room..and it goes out of the window with your "turin shroud" bedding...

CONFIRMATION. OK, I have looked at the Buell & its potential luggage capacity. So here goes.
1). I would like to do the short break as Chris & Eddie (Could you PM your number so i can get the ferry sorted)
2). I will travel by Ferry.
3). I am happy to sleep with BB, Trigg, Eddie, Chris etc (But not all on the same night.
This is confirmation, and will not change. NOW YOU KNOW THAT I'M GOING

it is time to wash the dirt on the forum, italians say
'>
the main reason why i wont be riding through is because SOMEONE will get too worried, therefore i will be ruin SOMEONE's holidays if i do so. i'll be taking the boat even though i get sea sick, purely because i'm easy going and i think also that in march/april they'll freeze their asses off on the Pyrenees!
'>
i'd love if the girls will share the boat with me as well, there'll be plenty of riding through spain anyway and will need somebody to hold my hair while having the time of my life in the loo

No probs Alba. Me and BB will get the ferry too then - she will sort out that on Monday. I will book the 2nd apartment, probably tomorrow, and send the deposit. Can't say I'm any less livid about the way this has turned out, but at least we sorted for e's and wizz
Not sure how many the appartment takes but I haven't got a problem (read prefer) staying in a hotel nearby. I'll book it myself.
Are the 'Ferry Lot' still taking a van or riding the whole way?

Alba & Trigger - What do you think about riding the 811 miles to spain?
811 miles (1305km) ...That is the equivalent as a trip from Sydney to Melbourne

I'll start booking my ferry (euro tunnel) & accommodation

Anything special I should know about, or should I go ahead and book?
Looking forward to it!!!

How many people will have bullet cameras for the trip? Saint, DM and I will have one each and I think if we had a couple more we could make a great movie.
Also, just to note that both Saint's and my cameras are fixed to our bikes. DM? Incase people are wanting to get some video time you will need to ride the boat as the camera is staying on for the summer

Been away for too long, can barely work out whats happening...
I'll plan on riding through France as there seems to be others doing the same so I can go ahead and book the eurotunnel ?
but can someone please tell me what I need to do to get a bed in the right appartment for the right period, do I just pick one or is there some sort of organisation going on, or something ?

thanks Trig, I really should have kept an eye on all this but I've been kinda busy, I sort of know what I'm doing now...
I'll book the eurotunnel for the dates and times quoted at the top of this thread and join the "ride there and back" group.
Who, if anyone, is in charge of organising this contingent, is it Tino ?
lastly, accomodation, who else needs to get a bed sorted, or has a spare one on offer ?

I have booked Eurotunnel and all very straight forward, but I am hesitant in booking for the Spain trip!

poor Rollo! No wonder he hasn't confirmed he's coming

John the price is per apartment, as Maffoo said. Its a brucey-bloody-bargain that's what it is.
For shiney, sparkly, body-popping Team B - apartment booked but just got to find out how to transfer deposit (150 coins of the Union) from Tino, who has done it before and thus knows how to handle this sort of thing. I'm just a fluffy headed female what do I know about transferring money successfully from one bastard country to another? I'm awaiting his reponse to my email...
