Hi all. Just got my CBT today. Had some hair raising moments but also a lot of fun, and even more fun riding pillion to 2 shops bike browsing. I think I'm going to like this. Just please don't tell my mom.

Welcome to TLB and congratulations on the CBT. any idea what kind of bike you are likely to get?
I'm gonna skip the coffee and go straight to the JD if that's ok.
See you out and about soon.

H Glo. Congratulations. A freezing day for it too, so well done. You've already had your celebratory drink from me earlier today.

Thank you all for the very warm welcome, and big thanks to the Aceman for the celebratory drink, as well as putting up with my drunken ramblings...
No idea what to buy yet, but most likely something low seated and sporty

I'm quite low seated and sporty... I look forward to meeting you lol
I expect if you have to still keep things from your mum, you won't be old enough to get anyhting from the bar so I'll have a strong tea with lots of milk thanks...and Saint should know better about serving people who are underage to!

Seriously, I have uncommon domestic arrangements which I won't go into here... and FYI I am adequately old enough for a drink or two.

RizGirl, it was cold, but it was well worth it!
WRT the shopping, I am watching a few auctions on ebay just to get a feel of the prices, for leathers and bikes. I have my heart set on the sportier looking bikes - blame it on my nintendo fuelled childhood! But having seen the insurance quotes it would be better for me to first book the test and pass it, THEN get the bike. However this is all a bit pie in the sky at the moment, but anyway, stranger things have happened in my life.....
Now, are there shorter fitting leathers for ladies??
