Sounds like your best bet is to contact the MAG group for that area.

London MAG have this on the front page page of their website:

London MAG

They mention both the Westminster issue and also the issue in Kensington & Chelsea that affects residents with bikes.

Wouldn't it be better to personalize a protest.  Find out firstly what department and then what committee made this decision.

Well basically its the "Parking" dept but the issue went before the actual councillors at Westminster City Council. They approved it and it was passed.

However that only gives them the green light to proceed and make detailed plans. If bikers moan and groan NOW it will make them think again.

I know it's a bit boring but to see the actual issue have a look on the link below:

Key Issue

We need to know who in the parking dept! We cannot deal with faceless beaurocrats they will simply hide behind their departmental barrier. I bet you that some poor pratt has been told to increase parking revenue and this was the first thing that came to mind. We need someone inside the council who understands the infrastructure!

Well Said

Moo!
People will forget what you have said and they will forget what you have done--but they will never forget the way you made them feel.

This issue is being discussed on the BBC Breakfast Show (radio) tomorrow morning (Wed).  ':p'

Jason Donovan is hosting the show this week and the subject tomorrow is Motorcycle parking in London.

Someone is on the case who should be on air at 7am ish. A representative from Westminster Council may or may not be on as well.

You can find the station at 94.9 FM

Not sure if there is phone in ? If there is then ring in !

No thats not quite right.

Their ORIGINAL plan was to supply secure parking but that bit has been thrown out, with the the councillors saying "..it does'nt work in practice". What a load of bull  ':crazy'

So even if you pay for parking you won't get anything extra for it.

Signed but Westminster Council seems to be a law to itself so I think it will get away with it
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
5 out of 16 is good enough!

I believe MAG have meetings with Westminster Council next week on this issue.

Also, MCN are following up last weeks article with an interview with the Director of Parking from Westminster Council so that might be interesting to see what he says.

The PETITION is up to 150+ now so keep em coming !

They are welcoming our views and opinions, but will they listen?
In my opinion, NO.
Westminster Council has become money making business, that is all they care about.  I am worried that if they see how many of us are complaining, signing petitions and doing protest rides, they may just see it as a calculation of how much money they will make. (I would like to be wrong)
They will never provide secure parking, they don’t care. That was just an excuse to justify their plans.

Silly really, it would be more profitable to put the cameras in every single junction box. Not only that they would make more money with fines, but they would also make life easier for us who are stuck due to careless drivers sitting there without consideration for others.
Anyway, I signed it already.
