eurostar is cool, can be done spur of the moment for a daytrip too if a nice days weather suddenly pops up, I have alternating weekends off from looking after my kids. If a nice sunny winters day rears its head and it's a saturday/sunday that I'm free I'd be up for a little forage abroad next year '<img'>

Defo not wonderwoman, I really am a mad scientist! A plane crash, now that's something that probably would make me miss the ride out!
I don't mind explaining in person what I do, but not on the forum!  '<img'>

BTW I live just off the main routes to the coast (M20/M2) if a meeting point for stragglers is required...

i think Saturdays a good choice as if we were to have a mishap and get delayed a day then that would eat into sunday as opposed to Monday a work day!! But just so you know if the trips an early Saturday - late saturday round trip or even an early sat to sunday then im good!

Cant wait!! ':crazy'

That would mean sorting out accomodation though which considering the list of people going contains a few probables is going to be a mare to sort.

I'd go for keeping it simple, a day trip, everyone responsible for arranging their own ticket on eurostar to an agreed start and return time.

Just how early and late do we want to make this considering:
1) Journey time to terminal (Route Box Hill to Terminal)
2) 30 min check-in

Note that sunrise and sunset times for Kent on 17 March are 0607 and 1805 respectively.

We can always go back later in the year  '<img'>

A Superb Route and just a suggestion is
Calais to St Omer which takes in a bit of everything with towns villages and some fast straights.

St Omer to Le Touquet which has it all with excellent open roads, forestry twisties and some superb country B Roads.

Le Touquet to Calais taking the North West Coastal Route back up which is just awesome, the seaview on the left and superb country side to your right all the way with panoramic views of your route ahead, long sweeping bends that get sharp in places and dipping hillside straights that are as smooth as silk

All along these routes are biker friendly cafes and bars and once you enter Calais on this last route it brings you to a Cafe Bar that is Biker Themed and they serve excellent food and drink that is very reasonable price wise and is 10mins from the EuroTunnel Customs Boarding Gates.   '<img'>

The last time I did these Routes we got to Calais at approx 9.20am and throughout the day we stopped for the likes of Fuel and Food etc, We also stopped in Le Touquet for a few hours, Main Meal and Drinks and Beach.
Then took the Coastal Route back up to Calais and stopped at the old German War Bunkers and then in to Boulogne for Fuel and Coffee etc and then the Themed Bar for about an hour which took us up to about 8.30pm
This gave us time to get in to the EuroTunnel Terminal for some duty free shopping and departed there at 9.40pm
So its a full day with plenty of riding and free time too !!

Sure mate.....
I,ll post the one I have from my work pc which has all the details.
Its a round route of approx 350 Miles but its got it all and the roads accomodate all levels of skill right from the top notch "Knee Downers" to the Novice.
If you guys dont mind, I,ll invite a mate of mine who,s parents live in Le Touquet (hes based in London) and he knows some of the best biking roads and routes France has to offer.
you will all absolute love it and its brings the very best of what Bikings all about !!
