Nightriders part ii
« on: 12, December, 2006, 09:17:15 AM »
Following the success of last Sat night's blast, I am considering planning another similar ride, hopefully giving people more notice this time, and the choice to vote for a night that will suit mosts riders in relation to their domestic & work situations.

To be honest Sat night would be ideal because not a lot of people work on a Sun therefore getting back home late as we do, would not really be a problem.

Those interested please put your names down and also a preference of dates.

THANK YOU '<img'>

O yes I’ll be there…   ':crazy'

As long as we make a few stops for the crumpet again….

Footnote for Mrs Riz K5…… Crumpet is a slag term used by bikers for loud cans.    '<img'>

Yes I agree, for all the ladies at home, crumpets is the term recently associated with the new shape of stubbie cans which are all the rage at the moment with us lads.....

Liar, liar, pants on fire...  '<img'>

Are these rides for guys only then?

Would be up for one of these when it gets a bit warmer (yes, I'm being a girlie cold-hating wuss at the moment  ':blush'  )

Oh no no no, these are not guys only rides MS, and of course you are more than welcome, in fact I challenge you to break your fear of the cold weather and beg you to try and wear the warmest gear you have under your leathers and never ever think of yourself as a girl cold-hating wuss but a positive person that is up for it any time for the sheer joy of riding, be it with the lads as well as the lassies. gwan!! come out and play. ':p'

p.s.: the bit about the crumpets is not a lie it's... errr..... poetic licence. I guess

There are only so many pairs of gloves you can get on before you stop being able to use the levers... and I doubt the bike's electrics would cope with any warming add ons '<img'>

Up for it at any time... who have you been talking to??? That's how rumours start '<img'>

Was wondering that myself, how do you ride around town without having to stop for lights, junctions, traffic, etc, every few minutes ?

Well, the stops are really not as frequent as someone would imagine, but yes it is an element of the ride, and after all this is advertized as an urban ride, but believe me, often that is all part of the fun, revving at the lighs, adrenaline steam coming out of your nostrils, and then goooooo. I think for the un-initiated amongst you, just seing me filtering through London should provide most of the "what the xxxx is he out of his head?" element '<img'> '<img'>

Most important is to enjoy the beauty of the town's landmark with mates and the other beauties as explained above (crumpets).

There are of course parts of the route where you can let loose for a bit but... this sure isn't a race., if it was I wouldn't be able to put up with some of the speed machines you guys ride. '<img'>

Anyway.... it appears that by popular demand (and your kind requests to me in pvt) that you want this ride to be done this Saturday 16th Dec. at 10:30 Chelsea Bridge, it's fine by me/

going.... going... going....

If it's dry I might be able to make it this sat night as I don't have my kids this weekend, btw thats not because I'm a wet wuss but because I hate central london roads in the wet.
