Just the once for bike related stuff.....small reg plate blah blah blah.

Wouldn't have bothered usually but Tams was on the back and aftwards said...."so why do you get a smaller than legal plate?". To which I couldn't think of a better answer than "I dunno?"

smaller plate means that other people have far less chance of getting your number as you and it disappear up the road...

I have found that a smaller plate that uses the same font as a regular plate (but smaller) and has the same overall proportions seems to attract little or no attention at all from the Police, certainly in London.

Anyway, they are probably far too busy catching proper criminals '<img'>

I love the Kingston one way system, I'm always racing people on there. There is a rumour that if you maintain an average speed on 60mph you can link up all the green lights.... '<img'>

You must have been really unlucky or really unobservant to get stopped by the police on there too..

thats crap, different times of day the sequenses change, not sure why, maybe its to do with traffic flow, living in kingston ive ridden it more times than ive had hot dinners, and although you can get the lights right very rarely can you make it all the way round more than once
best time is late at night, the timing of the lights is best then

Its not crap, I have been driving on that road for years  '<img'>

But it certainly isn't possible during the day when there are a lot of people around, and even harder now that the clubs are open late at night.

But its not something that you want to try too often, 60mph+ is a hell of a speed to be carrying so consistently around there and the chances of getting caught become significantly higher..

If you want to chat to the boys in blue, get a screaming two stroke ':blush':

Ive been pulled over on Project Bollox (formerly known as KMX200) loads of times in the past year, every time just to check I wasnt a spotty yoof ''

My favourite was something along the lines of...

"We pulled you over to ask why you do not have an L-plate displayed?"

"Um, its a 200, Ive had a full license for 16 years. How's that?"

"Oh. Okay sir. Er, have a nice day"

I am ashamed to admit it now, but when I was about 18 I got tugged doing 60 in a 30 zone (in my mum's sports car tho, in my defence). As it goes I had a partticularly short skirt on and plenty of slap, on my way to a night out in my slenderer days, and the copper leaned on my car roof and chatted for about 10 minutes after which he asked me out for a drink. '<img'>

He had a face like a slapped arse, so I said no, but no ticket either! Result!

Ummmm

Am going out for drinks on thursday  ':blush'

It was dark so have no idea what he looks like.... lets hope he's in uniform  '<img'>

I can't condone one of my boys abusing his position with one of the criminal sorority...give me his name rank and number and i'll see that he gets what's coming to him. Or will you take care of that angle '<img'>

Never been pulled on the bike. It can only be a matter of time. Small plate but standard cans. I'm fairly liberal with adherence to speed limits where appropriate (40 on the A10?!?, 50 on the A12 and A406?!? get stuffed) but never cross solid white lines, ride in bus lanes or sit in the bicycle box at the lights unless there's a vehicle already there taking the piss when I get there.

Got pulled once in a car after one pint and passed the breathalyser.

Pulled very early in my motoring career in my knackered MkII Escort on the M25. Cops gave the car the once over and found nothing wrong but a rusty front edge on the bonnet. Fuzz said, if you run into someone, that will give them tetanus. I said, if I run into someone, tetanus will be way down their list of woes after the broken legs. Got a producer and order to replace the bonnet lid for my witty reposte!

Just one and it was an odd one, as posted on LB in October...

Strange one Thursday night coming home from Hertford. About 10:30, joined the A10 at the A414 junction, police Astra was stopped in the left lane at the lights on the roundabout as I came round in the right. Lights changed just as I reached them so I didn’t have to stop, went past him, indicated left and went down the slip road, two lanes all the way so no problem there. Saw him in my mirror starting down the slip so did everything right, onto A10, accelerate up to 70, bimble along left lane. After a couple of miles my speed had crept up a little to 75-ish where the motor’s a tad smoother but I was still behaving knowing he was back there. All of a sudden he comes haring up the outside, gives me a single whoop on the siren and one flash of the blues and belts past making ‘slow down’ gestures, pulls in in front so I put the indicator on to go into the approaching lay-by in but he doesn’t stop and I follow him at a sensible distance and at the limits all the way to the lights at Cheshunt where he stops in the right-turn lane. As I pull up alongside and flip up the visor he winds down the passenger side window (only one officer in the car) and says, to my complete astonishment, “Keep the speed down, you were doing over 90 along there.” Bollox was I, I’m not that daft knowing the bill’s behind me! Fortunately I was too gobsmacked to say anything of that sort, eventually I managed an “Ok, sorry, thanks ossifer” of some sort and then my lights changed and I went. Still not quite sure what to make of it, he must have been doing 90-odd to catch me up but that doesn’t mean I was. Least he didn’t want to make an issue of it.

Or H is quicker than I think and my speedo’s f*cked.
If you are what you eat, I'm cheap, fast and easy.
