Lb started up really nice, there was a joyful sense of belonging that was very heart warming, don't get me wrong, that HASN 'T changed at all, because those people are still as wonderful as ever and I guarantee you, you put them together at a bike meet or a rideout, and they are the nicest people you'll ever meet.

However, God knows what happened there amongst those that run it, but the fact is, they have been playing up with rules and made so many unforgiving u-turns in the process of which they have truly upset those people that had put their trust in them. Myself, and a few which I have discussed this with, felt that on one end the "management" was being very caring and sweet on the outside, but at the same time, they were so obscure in pushing their rules on to people, that left the members feeling like they had been sh@t on, basically. And when you open your mouth and speak your heart out about it, you get silenced, and the dirtiest tricks in the book are used against you to make you look a bad apple. As only I know too well. '<img'>

I am glad, some of those great people from there, which I have been fortunate to meet are making their move over here, I also look forward to meet up with the residents of this forum, whom I haven't met yet. And finally every coin has 2 sides, you might appreciate one side and not the other but the value doens't change.

happy days to all!

p.s.: I wish lb the best of luck without regrets.

We never argue here, the moderator police see to that '<img'>
But then again, show me a family that doesnt have the odd heated debate and passionate discussion on such things that trouble us at the time

I never really contributed at LB as it didn't really seem my sort of scene. Of late it's seemed to me that the 'management' at LB has had it's eye on commercial aspects of the site more than anything else, over and above the feelings of its members, and it's as though the guys running it have suddenly decided its some sort of business and it's members are little more than employees...

They do seem to have singled out a number of people and painted them into a corner where there pride wouldn't let them back down in the face of such a ridiculously overbearing and self-important attitude, as an example to others perhaps ? either way it sucks big time and seems a shame.

Anyway, doesn't need raking up does it really and I shouldn't be so nosey !!

IMO Yeti and Trouty are great at their jobs and have for the past 3 years that I've been on here run the site without question over and above any other bike site I have talked on or viewed. But this is my view and I leave it to others to see if you fit in.
Hope you are making jokes and have a smile on your face my Danish diplomatic friend. Long may your memory live!

I'm a relative newbie but I would wholeheartedly agree.

I was thinking just yesterday, whilst pondering the situation at LB, that most people really take forums for granted (including, at times, the people running it...) but it must take a lot of work and patience to keep a good thing like TLB going.

Minnie, this is very true about the age & experience '<img'> Both on and off the bike there is a large amount of experience on here. One person to meet is Grandma. IMO you will never meet a nicer person '<img'>

I would thoroughly agree with Matt about Christine - just from the one time I have managed to meet her!   I would also add that there are a number of extremely lovely peeps here - am hoping to meet some more of them sooner rather than later!   '<img'>  '<img'>
