As with everything it depends on the rider of the machine doesn't it? Also whether you have a taste for them depends on your own opinions.

Personally like Matt I do not much like scooters - neither the sound nor the look of them so for that reason would not get one myself. However, as I said I know a couple of good riders who ride them - SL is one of them so despite seeing some horrendous idiotic things done by kids on scoots (and probably unlicensed ones at that), I would not label all scooter riders the same.

Just the same as I have seen some really silly riding on bikes but know that doesn't automatically apply to all bikers!

ok, you've been on this site for a week and you've met how many of the 850+ members that have been here longer than you??
It's quite clear in the first post of this thread that the scooter riders are both at fault over the off duty policeman. The winding up was between Trouty and Tallguy who have known each other for years, as we don't know much about you, why would we be winding you up??
The last time I remember a scooter slagging on here was when scooters were blamed as the main culprites by the police when the bridge was taken from us.
So unless we have a poll or general debate on people's feelings towards scooterists, I don't see how any of us can call us scooter intolerant???

I'm not anti-scooter at all, just anti-moron. The trouble is a lot of 16 year old boys (and hopefully girls) get on scooter's coz they are the only thing they can legally ride, but most of them haven't got the sense how to ride safely. I mean how many of us did when we were 16, I didn't.
And even if you're filtering the person behind should still leave enough space to stop safely if you do an emergency stop - adequate stopping distance and all that.

Cant knock em though hey they ride althrough the winter in just those tracksuits! They must have thermal qualities in there skin! Fooking freezing on a bike in that weather ':blush'
