Thanks for waiting for me Tino & crew. Missed you Weaver & Riz, things can only get better. Was good to see BikerBeth, Pedro and Slim with his better half and meet some of the newbies at last!
Had a brilliant day and a race with Stem along the A13 (I let him lead!!??)
Needed to head off home after St Thomas' as miles of paperwork to do, but wouldn't have missed it for anything, and bike was a star '<img'>
BTW that punch recipe looks pretty good worth a try '<img'>
Did anyone take a good shot of BMBobs bike he could use as his Avatar, reckon he wins the prize for the best TLB Christmas bike ':p'

What a fantastic day!!  Very emotional - TT decided to go up to the ward at Thomas' and was in floods of tears when she came back down but glad she went and saw the kid's little faces light up when Santa arrived!
Lovely to meet new people and see some faces we havent seen for a while.
Weaver, I saw RO outside St Mary's and recognised him from your photos!!! Should have said hello but we were all getting ready to go off again and didnt want to get left behind!! '<img'>  And then we didnt see him again!
Slim, apparently we were standing right next to you and didnt know it was you! '<img'>  Would love to meet you next time!! ':blush':
We had our hoodies on and wish people would come up and introduce themselves like Beth did - its so nice to put faces to names!!! '<img'>
The only real time we have is now. All other times don't exist. Yesterday is a picture-postcard of a time that died. Tomorrow is a mind's eye promise that may never come.

I second and third all the above comments - lovely to meet the people I recognised again and good to meet some of the new people.  It was a good day and hopefully we left some happiness on wards behind us
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

You didn't see him again cos he broke down.   '<img'>   Not our day for bikes unfortunately - hopefully next year we will both make it for the whole run!   '<img'>  '<img'>

Was good to see those I did meet before the bike left me stranded at St Mary's and thanks Grandma for the Mince Pie. I will make a more conscious effort next time to hunt down those hoodies! Despite the problems with Weavers bike and then my own I enjoyed the run and am looking forward to next year.

Soooooo p'd that we missed it, but unfortunately were still unwell that morning.
I did buy pressies for the occasion so I will need to organise getting them to one of the hospitals before the week is out.
Well done to all that managed to get there-especially Steve, shame you missed it too Pen:(
Great turn out and great pics too.  Heres to next year!

What an absolutley amazing time, probably one of the most meaningful things I have ever done. PP's right, I did go up to one of the wards to help hand out the pressies and it was just such an emotional sight, I did have to come back down as it was just so overwhelming to see something like that, really was a bittersweet moment with those poor little ones in their beds and then watching their little faces light up when Santa gave them their presents.
that really was something I'll never forget.

Crashy - thanks for the lift, Wouldn't of been able to come along if you didn't take me. Apologies for being a fidget by waving at everyone watching and cheering us from the pavement ! cheers babe.
All the police and marshalls for keeping us all together and stopping traffic, I felt like royalty !!!  '<img'>
And everyone that joined in, and for all the presents that were donated, we really made a difference to those kiddies Christmas.

Dangermouse try this one instead, but please don't ride after knocking back some of this, mind you there was a few of us that could have used a pint or two of this on sunday to keep us warm after the long ride home, got bloody chilly it did along that A13, but I think I might try the vodka in the other one, Cheers matey.

Spicy Mulled Wine
Perfect for keeping out the cold around Christmas time.

Ingredients
700 ml Red wine (1 1/4 pint)
300 ml Water ( 1/2 pint)
300 ml Orange juice ( 1/2 pint)
3 Tablespoon Caster sugar
2 Cinnamon sticks
1 Teaspoon Ground coriander
1 Teaspoon Whole cloves
150 ml Brandy ( 1/4 pint)

Method
Makes approximately 1.5 litres (2 1/2 pints)
Place the wine, water, orange juice, sugar, two cinnamon sticks (roughly broken), coriander and cloves in a large saucepan.
Heat to just below boiling point for 5 to 10 minutes. Add the brandy.
Strain the liquid through a fine sieve, discarding the spices.
Serve in warm glasses, decorating each one with a whole cinnamon stick.

personally I'd give the water and orange juice a miss from the recipe and save it for the morning after '<img'>

...and try a little bit of Port in it too '<img'>
