Don't take them. They miscalculated and sooner or later they'll find out and you'll have to pay either with holidays or from your wages and not only will you be unable to do anything about it but you'll look a bit dishonest too.

You didn't expect 12 so you won't be missing anything will you?

Interesting slant there Mikey but they have informed me that I have 12 days so I don't actually think that I'll look dishonest if they do recalculate.

I am allowed to carry over 5 days to next year, so I will do that anyway as I hate January in the UK, that will then be my safety blanket.

Anyway...... I'd gladly pay for 3 extra days holiday if I have to, its all about value for money.  They are working me so hard that at this rate I am not sure that I will actually get round to using it all up.... but I am gonna have fun trying to '<img'>

Thanks Scorps good advice.... I asked them again.  '<img'>

Err - as you never bother to keep track of your holiday days yourself due to dedication to your job - you have to believe what they say don't you!!  So take the 12!!  '<img'>  '<img'>

Take them unless they are a fantastic company to work for who treat you with absolute respect.  But if you ever worked through lunch or worked late then feel no guilt and take them.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
5 out of 16 is good enough!

take them girl! then go sick whilst your on leave and you can get even more! if you try telling HR they have made a mistake they might
a. think your a smart arse (especially if you prove them wrong)
b. think your an arse kisser for sucking up to then, then hate you for it.
C. hate you for exposing their mistake and subsequently dropping their department in the shiit for miscalculating your (and perhaps others) leave
d. bring in auditors and drag the whole of HR over the coals for a massive company wide cock up thats cost them millions in lost hours (and they can thank you for it afterwards)

just take the damned leave and stop being such a friggin goody two shoes!!
you could spend the extra days off ironing your fellas kit and cooking him some tasty food, if he is a proper northerner he will probbably reward you by beating you less!
then everybody is happy!

quite a simple solution really, if you ever do get caught just pull the highest male manager to one side and tell him that you didnt want to question the "gods in HR" and that you spent the days off baking, cooking, cleaning and shagging your fella to death like every good woman should.
He will admire you for it and is likely to start seeing you in a better light cos he actually wants an "old school "woman too.

use this to your advantage and youll probably be able to get a pay rise out of him, whilst ensuring at the same time that you get out of the office bang on 5 every night
comments like "hey ive got a man at home who needs tending to" as you walk out of the door will make him admire you but detest that spawny git richard.

then of course when you get home you can put your feet up and order the burger bitch to make you a coffee and get the dinner on the go!

Maybe you should stick to commenting on your own situation and leave me to comment on mine.

Fine Tanya,

Im not going to battle this out on a public forum like your trying to back me into. I would prefer to talk about this like adults.

I was simply doing as you requested. I have said my peice and Im off!
