Cant say def yes or no. I know i would love to come. Need more details me old mucker when ever they come available. Like costs etc. Unless ive missed it somewhere. Personally i would prefer a ferry pretty much all the way there and then we can enjoy the roads better also save a bit on fuel and tyres etc just to get there. What is the plan if any at the moment?
I could be well up for this what kind of cost are we talking about?

Rollo will know about costs as he done it a coupe of years ago and had a great time. I'll find out from him and then post back. I think it will be a lot as I want to be spending loads of time on the road so should be clocking up 200+miles a day

Hello all, following on from MattP's comment, I did indeed do this trip 2 years ago and it was a fookin' hoot.... I paid £205 return for the crossing but chose to only have a reclining seat. Turned out to be not such a good idea and didn't get any sleep on the way out. Other guys I was with had stumped up and paid for a room which I bunked in on for the trip home and that makes a massive difference. We did the Plymouth to Santander route which I agree, is a bigger pain to get to than Portsmouth but the ferry only takes 18 hours, and you save an hour on the other side as Santander is further along the coast towards the nice twisty bits....
One other thing to think about, depending on whether the plan is to go early or late May, is the weather. We went in mid-April which turned out perfect with the average daily temp being around 22-25 degrees. If the plan is towards the end of May, then the mercury is going to be pointing towards the 30 degree mark, especially as far inland as Zaragoza.
Anyway, regardless, stick my name on this one as it's simply the best thing I have ever done!!!!

I think what Morgawr is trying to say is depending on what value you would add to the trip!!!

I may be up for this as well. riding down or taking the ferry, wouldn't make a difference to me.
Have you thought about van rental and getting 3 bikes to a van, or something along the line? might work out a bit cheaper. of course it would take longer to get there.

Would prefer to ride down or van it, as hate ferries - make me puke BIG time lol

Get the plane £15.99 from Stanstead. meet us there. Its not as if you can go two up around a circuit it will just be the day rides wont it. Should be great fun.
I will have the info packs out by the end of next week. I am looking into Vans for the journey down as 4 vans with ramps is cheaper than 15 bikes

Ang on, the van wont be doing the whole journey, IT will be going on the ferry for the 18 hour ride!
So if you wanna put ya bike on it and get the flight there will be a charge split for transport!! Wont be much.
I belive
Simone
WDZ
MAttp
PP and TT
IF they are going will be flying. I will be driving the van with my bike on it and I imagine I can fit 2 more on it (Mattp and WDZ). The cost will be the price of the van split by three for thw two days that its used. I will then pay the cost for the van sitting in Spain but I will be charging the additional cost to any one that needs recovery!
