OK....before this got wiped last Friday I had put it up in Racing/Trackdays....lets see if it picks up a bit in here.....

Last Round of the BSB at Brands Hatch on Sunday 1st Oct.

Double points up for grabs should make it a mental days racing.

I'll be travelling there as usual around the A25 (reasonably twisty) starting near Guildford.

Anyone wanna meet up...join the run there etc fire your name down and we'll make a plan.

So far

Don't even get the tyres warm

10's not a bad number.

Any more for any more?

I'll fire up a meeting point and time soon. Anyone got any issues with being at the track by about 9.30-10am? There is no timetable on the Brands site yet but I suspect morning practice will start around 9-9.30am. I would expect this to be a pretty busy meet so getting there ASAP is the way forward.

The £5 ones are only for grandstand seats once you have paid your £26 to get in.

I think it's £26 on the day or £21 online in advance but the advance tickets usually go off sale a week or two before the actual race day.

I will do some research and fire up a suggested meeting time and place this week.

Cool....11 of us on bikes so far (unless I'm not the only one going with pillion?) so it should be a very sociable day oot!

What I'd like to know is what time are people expecting to kick off their day....what pace they are looking to go at (do we need two groups?)....roughly what ideal distance they wish to cover before arriving at BH etc etc....

It's a long old day at the races so some folk might not want a big jaunt prior to standing about watching the racers have all the fun and at the same time other folk might want to have a blast first. Have a butchers at the 2 proposed routes. This might require different paced groups or is everyone happy to wait up at all major junctions etc so we all stay together. I'm happy to go sweeper if we stay in 1 group.

Last year on the run back the light was fading so keep that in mind those of you who opt for those very illegal black or irridium visor things!  ':devil'

And take a map or sat nav if you are unsure for the way back as I won't be hanging aboot on the run home.

Easy Route (most direct non motorway) is A25 then A20.... steady pace will take about 45mins Boxhill to BH.

Twistier Route (not direct and I haven't done it before) is A24 - A272 - A26 - A227 - A20.....sounds like a lap of the UK but it looks good fun on the map. Looks like it'd take about 2hrs at steady pace.

Any other route suggestions are more than welcome as being led around the garden of England by a Scotsman probably doesn't inspire much confidence in the organisation of this run....hehehe!

If it like any other biking day I'll be like an excited child and not sleep anyway  ':p'

I don't mind an exciting ride beore the big event but am not at supersonic speeds yet. As long as I have the route and someone is willing to wait at the junction before we go onto a new road I don't mind being last.

Already looking forwards to it and glad to see some other have already bought tickets.  '<img'>
