No arugment wanted DM '<img'> . But I have seen on the boards when I can't sleep at night a lot of posts that are not there in the morning. Last one was some group call Rough ryders and that was gone before 7am '<img'>

I get to see a lot of that as I'm 8 hours behind you guys....I saw (and replied too) the Ruff Ryders post by telling them that its usual to introduce yourself before hijacking members...and it was gone the next morning (well, evening where I am!'<img'>

for an experiment, i reckon we should run the site with NO moderation for a week or 2 and see how quickly it goes to rat shite..

how about we meet halfway on this...

we need various forums visible to all, so that potential newbies can make an informed decision as to wether they want to join or not. What if i create an area that is just for members only (say, 10 posts behind their name) and call it the Back Yard, leave it as a completely UNMODERATED area and let you lot do what you want with it...

but meet us half way, and use the other area's for the usual stuff, keep the Back Yard for anything else...

Fine by me, but someone else can clear up the mess when the arguments and ranting start to spill out into the main Forums...

I was wondering whether having a moderated area specifically for talking about motorcycling would be a good idea...? '<img'>

with a separate un-moderated area for talking/arguing/ranting about other things, like how often you go to the toilet, whether you like marmite, whats p*ssed you off today, etc ?

sorry Troutslayer, just read your post, as you have already suggested.... ':blush'

For what its worth i think Riz had a fair point.  I dont think theres is any need to chuck toys out the pram just because someone has an idea.  Cant see why you responded like that Yeti.  Seems to me you do a good job (dont know you) but your very popular.  I think Riz was saying that if we post meetings and rideouts that could have unwanted attention from well anyone whos looking in.  So we could if possible have a section which is private.

Thats all.

Danger you do have a point on rides. I know that one of Johns rides would be the ideal ride that the police would even put on Bike Safe for others to watch. But a play around like the ride to Germany IMO needs to be kept on a private part (maybe thats what PM's are for?)
Hope you are making jokes and have a smile on your face my Danish diplomatic friend. Long may your memory live!

though on the last ride only the outward leg would be fit for broadcast....

and MattP, your right, PM's are just fine for keeping things private, can't see the need for any more complication than necessary though I did notice the Fazer Owners Club (unofficial) have a 'naughty' area that you have to PM the admin to get access too.
